flowguard

Getting started

Installation

Build flowguard and make sure it runs.

Requirements

  • Java 17 or newer to run flowguard itself.
  • Maven, if you're building from source.
  • Zig on your PATH, only if you plan to use native protection (see Native protection).

Build

Terminal
mvn -q -DskipTests package

This produces a single runnable jar with everything bundled in (built with the Maven Shade plugin), so you don't need to manage dependencies separately.

Run it

Double-click the jar, or run it with no arguments, and it opens the web settings page in your default browser:

bash
java -jar flowguard.jar

Tip

If nothing opens, check that a browser is set as your system default — flowguard just asks the OS to open one.
